Organic, Biodegradable Seed Starting Pots Beyond Biodegradable 100% Organic and 100% biodegradable. DOT Pots are the worlds only OMRITM listed Biodegradable plantable pots. Plant the pot without ripping the bottom. Post consumer content packaging is printed with biodegradable soy inks. Organic, Not just because we say so Wood fiber used is sourced exclusively from thinning of sustainably managed forests. Electric power used in the manufacturing process comes primarily from renewable resources. It's what's NOT in the DOT PotTM that makes it better! Unlike glued peat moss pots, biodegradable DOT Pots are made from all natural wood fibers, 80% spruce fibers and 20% peat moss and nothing else! DOT Pots contain zero glues or binders -- allowing the plant roots to grow right through the pot during a normal production cycle. The plant's growth is not impeded by the walls of the pot. This creates a vigorous, non-girdled root system that spreads out evenly and uniformly. Air pruning is taken to a whole new level. The highly porous technology of the DOT Pots allows us to exclude one more ingredient from the DOT Pot -- drain holes. Without glue or binders, air and water flow freely through the entire container without the need for drain holes. Why reduce air pruning to a few dime-sized holes or narrow slots? DOT Pots achieve even air pruning along the entire container surface. Not only are DOT Pots 100% biodegradable, but they are 100% OMRI Listed® as well. Now you can forget about the plastic waste and the disposal hassles of traditional plastic containers. When you plant a DOT Pot, both you and Mother Nature will be smiling. You will receive 22 organic, biodegradable pots, size 3 1/8" x 3 1/8"

great for seedlings These are the perfect size for cuttings, or for an intermediate transplant of peat pellets. Roots can punch through the bottom quite easily, which is good. (As with any container like this, though, remember that the pot itself wicks moisture out of the soil and away from your seedling. Keep an eye on the soil moisture.)
